The Bonfire grows!

As of the end of January members of the leadership team of First, House of Hope, and St. James Lutheran churches will have participated in a three-week series of seminars and conferences to discuss the foundations of transformational ministry. The series was led by Pastors David Wangaard and Susan Tjornehoi of the Minneapolis Area Synod offices.
The biblical basis for our sessions has come from the second chapter of Matthew and the story of the journey of the wise men in search of the Christ child. This series, in concert with continuing collaborative ministries in confirmation education, senior adult ministry, health care ministry, men’s ministry are forming the building blocks of a fresh way of seeing and doing the work of the gospel in our area of the metro.
Please ask your Council Members about their experience with the Bonfire ministry. Ask the Youth in confirmation class about what it’s like to be with eighty other Youth on the first Wednesday of every month. The stories of transformation are everywhere.
