School Kits and Sewing Day
We are doing wonderfully well on school kit item donations. Each kit costs over $2 to send overseas. Donations for postage are appreciated.
A special sewing day will be held in the community room on Thursday, September 9 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. We’ll make small banners and school bags for the school kits.
Mpls Area Synod Women’s Gathering
This year’s gathering will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine on Saturday, September 25 from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Great speakers and workshops including Janet Letnes Martin, the Church Basement Lady, Rev. April Ulring Larson, and Rev. Dr. Margie Guelder.
Cost: $40 ($45 after September 15). Includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and the Mpls Area Synod newsletter. Contact Jackie at 763-535-2797.
Rummage Sale
The Women’s Ministry is sponsoring a rummage sale on Thursday-Saturday, September 30-October 2.
Hours: Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (Bag day). Food and beverages will be available.
Donations in good condition are needed:
Purses, costume jewelry, long ropes of beads and stones, clothing, furniture, electronics in good working order, toys, baby clothes, CDs, DVDs, videos, books, Christmas items, games and puzzles (no missing pieces), knick knacks, dishes, pots and pans, tools, and collectibles. Please do not donate shoes or items in need of repair or cleaning. Donations will be accepted beginning Sunday, September 26. A trailer is available for large items that need hauling. Volunteers needed: Monday–Saturday, September 27-October 2 for set up and to manage the store. Contact Vicky at 763-535-3671.
This fundraiser will replace the Fall Festival. Proceeds will be divided between local, global, and church missions. Monetary donations are also accepted.
