Confirmation Orientation
Confirmation students entering grades 6th—9th and their parents are invited to attend a Confirmation Orientation on Wednesday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. We will continue our shared program with House of Hope Lutheran. Fall classes will meet at First Lutheran and winter classes will be held at House of Hope. Materials and schedules will be provided at that meeting.

9th graders and their parents will meet to coordinate and plan special class sessions with Pastor Folkerts for the October 31 Confirmation service. Contact the church office with questions.

Scavenger Hunt and Dinner
Youth Event: Rally Sunday!
On Sunday, September 12 at 3:00 p.m. the First Lutheran Youth will be having a Scavenger Hunt followed by dinner! This is a great way to reconnect if you were away during the summer. All youth in grades 6th-12th are welcome, and are encouraged to bring friends.

Agape Hip-Hop Concert
Wildfire Confirmation Kick-Off!
To start up the confirmation year the Wildfire group will be getting together for a concert by national hip-hop artist Dave Scherer of Agape on Wednesday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope. This event is open to all youth grades 6-12th. Youth who are in confirmation and have not been confirmed yet are encouraged to come. Regular confirmation starts Wednesday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m.at First Lutheran.

Youth Forum
Sunday, September 19: Features personal stories and adventures from youth who went on the Mission Trip to Cairo, Illinois, summer camp at WAPO, and the Mini-Mission Trip to Minneapolis. Come and hear what they have learned from these enriching experiences. more »

Pumpkin Carving Contest and Bonfire
The First Lutheran Youth will be celebrating Fall on Saturday, October 16 at 5:00 p.m. There will be a pumpkin carving contest, dinner, bonfire, smores and hot apple cider! This will be a GREAT event! Youth grades 6-12th and friends are welcome. The church congregation is welcome to judge the pumpkins on Sunday morning in the court yard (weather permitting). There will be prizes for the pumpkins with the most votes!
