Global Partnership

Mubi, Nigeria

In 1996, a Covenant was developed with LCCN #1, Mubi to work together in three areas:

1) Study – to learn about the Mubi partner congregation, culture, location, daily life and establishing relationships with individuals, church groups and mission committees;

2) Worship – Pray for each other, enrich each other’s worship through exchange of music and liturgical settings, and pulpit exchange when possible; and

3) Action – Development of outreach missions jointly in both Nigeria and Minnesota and the promotion of exchange visits by members of our congregations

By the grace of God and through the joint efforts of First Lutheran Church of Crystal and our partners in Mubi, many exciting things have developed:

Churches have been established in four outreach areas in Nigeria - three in the Visik Hills and one at Mbiduwa.

A medical clinic was built at Hurenge, a remote area in the Visik Hills.

Four wells were dug to provide clean drinking water.
